A Vintage Christmas Monday in Ohio

I am visiting Momma for about a week since this will be the first Christmas we have spent away from each other...in twenty years. So we have big plans to do as much as we can to celebrate the season and most of it includes hunting down Christmas Lights! I plan on blogging our adventures, but since my plane landed around 5:30pm last night and we spent most of time driving to find an open Skyline Chili (they roll up the sidewalks in my hometown around 6:00pm on Sunday night) and then had to go back to the airport because a certain blond left her laptop on the plane OMG), I am going to participate in Vintage Christmas Monday hosted by Joan. I am in the perfect home to do so; Granny has decorations that are as old as she is and Momma brought some them up from the basement. So here are a few:

These have hung in Granny's windows as long as I can remember...shes says the whole block can't wait for her to put them up every year.
Granny says these little guys were a gift from a friend in the 70's. Don't they just scream Santa's village! Just Adorable. He totally matches the lamp that he is standing in front of!This Nativity was part of Granny's decorations when she was a child (she's 82). The figurines are made of plaster and just so non-commercial. I love the simplicity of this set.

He is the reason for the season!
Tomorrow I will be back with some eye candy from the Cincinnati Zoo and a Tasty Tuesday full of Christmas Treats! Here is a sneak peek...Tata for now!

This is a great post for being on the go!! I LOVE those little bells in your Grandma's window. I can see why everyone waits for them!! And the little elves are so familiar and are really making a comeback! And I see what you mean about the nativity set, it's perfect.

I hope you find your favorite chili and laptop!! I look forward to your posts about your visit!!

Happy holidays! :-)

I love those red bells so much, probably beause they were my favorite decoration when I was a little girl, and I'm so happy that my Mom gave then to me to use in my home! Love those sweet little gold pixies too. I hope you have fun spending time with your Mom!
Merry Christmas and Happy VCM!
