Today is Outdoor Wednesday over at A Southern Daydreamer...be sure to check out all the other bloggers, they have so much to share. I want to share more from my trip to Ohio with you today. Momma and I squeezed as much togetherness and Christmas into our sliver of time together as we could. Last Wednesday we went to the Cincinnati Zoo for the festival of lights. It was so wonderful to see the park all decked out for Christmas. We took my Cuzzy with us, she is Baby Girl's age and she was a lot of fun. We ate German roasted almonds (TO DIE FOR) and sipped Hot Cocoa. It was a fun evening that I am so glad to have shared with Momma.
We picked up Cuzzy from her house; this is actually the house Momma and Myself grew up in as well as all other 7 of Mommas brothers and sisters. The Baby (Auntie S) owns it now and Cuzzy is The Baby's Baby (got it). The house use to have a huge Sycamore tree in front of it...it was said the tree was as old as the house (built and been in the family since 1880ish).Mamma and Pappa used to have hundreds of wooden decorations that they had built together adorn the lawn...at one time there was a flying sleigh with Santa in it that went from the tree to the roof top...whimsi runs in the family. Auntie 's house is only decorated on the outside because they are remodeling the inside - she was a little bummed she could not show me her snowman collection of over 300!! I think the ones in the yard are too cute!
As we entered the Zoo we were greeted by the LARGEST nutcracker I have ever seen. Adorable! Tons of lights and tons of peeps!
