Outdoor Wedsnesday - Not Always Sunshine & Roses

My contribution to A Southern Day Dreamer's Outdoor Wednesday is a little revelation I have had this week, join me won't you...

Sometime last week I took these few snaps of the mountains and the sky because it was unusually gray...the kind of gray I had forgotten even existed until I visited Ohio during Christmas. I love the gray sky mornings...but only because they are so few and far between here in So Cal, The poignant part of that statement was I have LONGED for those skys since moving here 22 years ago. I use to say "I miss the seasons", or"oh, what a pretty gray day" and "yeah - it's snowing!!" And then when I went back east in December for a week - I was amazed at how much I missed the sun. So I guess it's official, (here's the revelation) I'm a California Girl. But I don't want to miss lead you...we do get gray mornings, some snow and every two years or so, some really good rain. So here you go - El Nino hit last week and I am officially done...I want my Sunshine back.

While the palm trees covered in snow is fleetingly pretty to look at, the snow is fun until it's slush and I'm really digging the new lake in our backyard - I am ready to be done with Winter. Well, off to work - have a great day and Tata for now!!

Oh my goodness..your photos sure make a Georgia-girl want to relocate. Beautiful..just beautiful.

I'm talking about the snow-capped mountains and the picturesque scene over the fence line.

My name is Terri Smith. I'm a visual artist out of Bonaire, Ga, and I found you by way of A Little Tipsy. Thought I'd pop in and introduce myself because I'm new to the blogging community, only began in December.

I'm offering a "Free Giveaway" promotion at my new site, "Dimples & Dragonflies," and will be giving a beautiful 12X12 Original Oil On Canvas away in order to familiarize my voice and my work to this wonderful new venue.

If you think you'd be interested, you can pop over and find me at: http://www.dimplesdragonflies.com

I'd love to see you soon. Blessings, joy and sunshine, Terri Smith
