Outdoor Wednesday –Clifton Mill, Ohio

It's Outdoor Wednesday over at a Southern Daydreamer and as usual all the bloggers have beautiful posts. I did not get to post quite as much as I wanted to last week because I was busy making sure all my time was spent with family...sorry. Speaking of which, this little Mill trip was actually planned for last Wednesday but Prince Charming and Baby Girl flew in as a surprise (Bubba couldn't get the days off) so Momma had to come up with an elaborate reason we couldn't go until Friday. I am so glad we waited for them.
The Clifton Mill was built in 1804 - it is a grain Mill. The light display features over 3.5 Million lights! All the lights go dark every 30 minutes and then there is an beautiful dancing light show set to music..it's fantastic! The covered bridge becomes even more beautiful all decked out in Christmas lights! The working water wheel is even covered in lights.
There is a real waterfall by the water wheel.
On the left side of this photo, the white lights were twinkling and created another "waterfall"...just fabby!
The life size Nativity is gorgeous. Then there was the "Village"...with too many houses and vignettes to put on one blog. Vignette- Ohio State Football Game - complete with moving Marching Band that Spells out OHIO !! A car-sales lot - see the convertible - it was spinning on it's pedestal. A replica of the Clifton Mill - so cute!
My favorite was the Drive-in...can you see what is "playing" on the screen? It was really working! They even have a swing set in the front!
Couldn't have all scenery without us in them...left to right: Cuzzy, Moi, Baby Girl and Prince Charming (just beautiful!!) From left to right, Cuzzy, Auntie, Baby Girl, Momma and Moi - I was in Heaven!
The Mill also has a Santa collection of over 3000! I have many pics, but I'm going to share them tomorrow. Thanks for joining us at the Clifton Mill, to find out more about this great place, visit their website, if your in Ohio, GO SEE THIS! Ta Ta for now!
